Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Coniferiporia weirii is a pathogen that causes yellow ring rot of coniferous roots. The main host is green Douglas fir, the most abundant in Pomerania region, but making up a small percentage of the stand. The fungus is a quarantine organism, it is on the EPPO A1 list, its introduction and spread in the EU is prohibited. It naturally spreads slowly. The most likely means of entry is the transport of infected raw material in the form of plant cuttings (not seeds), untreated wood, logs and bark. Detection of the pathogen in the first few years is difficult, especially in large trees, as symptoms are not readily apparent. C. weirii naturally occurs in the United States, Canada, Japan and China. Due to the similarity between the climatic conditions of the Polish area and the regions where the pathogen occurs, the fungus can also occur in the PRA area and cause economic losses. Probability of entry: low Probability of establishment: high Probability of spread: low, as the most susceptible hosts are introduced trees, some occurring sparsely in the Polish area or in single plantings. The fungus can probably infect many other conifer species found in the EPPO region. The primary phytosanitary measure is to control plant material and wood imported from the area where the pathogen is common. If the occurrence of the species is recorded in Poland, it is necessary to develop and incorporate procedures for dealing with C. weirii.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
