Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In response to a planning condition on development at 12 Trinity Road, Hertford Heath, Hertfordshire, the Heritage Network was commissioned by the clients to undertake a programme of archaeological monitoring on the development groundworks. The site is located within Area of Archaeological Significance no.242, as identified in the District Local Plan. This includes a late pre-Roman Iron Age cemetery that remained in use until at least the end of the 1st century AD, and was focused around an Iron Age 'Chieftain's Burial'. The grave and its immediate vicinity also form a Scheduled Monument, which extends into the garden of the present site. The present works comprised the monitoring of an L-shaped footings trench for a new extension. No archaeological cut features, deposits or finds were encountered in the course of the project. The lack of archaeological evidence would suggest that the site falls just outside the area of the cemetery. However it is also possible that the ground level across the site was reduced when the Trinity Road estate was built in the 1960s or early 70s, which may have removed any potential archaeological features. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered in the course of the project. The lack of archaeological evidence could suggest that the site falls just outside the area of the late pre-Roman Iron Age cemetery or that previous ground level reduction may have removed any potential archaeological features.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
