Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In response to a planning condition on development at 27 School Lane, Welwyn, Hertfordshire, the Heritage Network was commissioned to undertake a programme of archaeological monitoring on the development groundworks. The monitoring of the groundworks at 27 School Lane demonstrated that the previous development had impacted onto the natural geology and thus potentially removing or concealing any unknown heritage assets. A study of the topography and surrounding properties suggest that the site, which is located on a southeast facing slope had been terraced in during the construction of the 1950's existing houses. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered during the course of the present investigation and no evidence for activity pre-dating the modern period was noted. Archaeological monitoring of the footing trenches for the conservatory was undertaken in order to identify any archaeological remains that might have been damaged, destroyed or otherwise by the excavations. Three connected trenches were excavated by hand The overall footprint of the conservatory measured 5.7m by 6.3m and all three trenches measured 0.44m in width and approximately 1m in depth. A similar stratigraphy was found within all three trenches and comprised a layer of sticky dark brown silty clay topsoil, 0.5m in depth, overlaying a layer of sticky mid-reddish brown silty clay, 0.5m in depth. The expected natural chalk horizon was not reached in any of the trenches No archaeological features, deposits or finds were revealed during the fieldwork.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
