Abstract

Als eines der zentralen Ziele der 2. Förderphase des Fachinformationsdiensts (FID) Philosophie wurde die detaillierte Analyse des Nutzungsverhaltens der User:innen des PhilPortals definiert. In Ergänzung zu der im Jahr 2023 durchgeführten quantitativen Onlinebefragung, wurden daher die Bedarfe der Nutzer:innen mittels qualitativer Usability-Tests abgefragt. Die aus den Tests gewonnenen Erkenntnisse werden als explizite Handlungsempfehlungen betrachtet und sollen direkt in die geplante Umstrukturierung der Website einfließen, die voraussichtlich im letzten Drittel der laufenden Projektphase beginnt. Auf diese Weise soll sichergestellt werden, dass das PhilPortal schrittweise an die entsprechenden Bedürfnisse und Anforderungen der Fachcommunity angepasst wird. Da ein aktuelles optisches Erscheinungsbild die Nutzungswahrscheinlichkeit und zugleich den Nutzen für die Zielgruppe steigert, wird künftig eine kontinuierliche Optimierung des Frontend-Designs angestrebt.
