Map: Neff & Berg 1966 (in part); Fisher & Orth 1972a FIGS: Steyskal 1951 (♂ terminalia, ♂ hind femur and tibia), Fisher & Orth 1972a (♂ terminalia, ♂ genitalia), this paper (dorsal head, mid and hind femora) BIOL: Neff & Berg (1966) described the biology of “ Sepedon praemiosa ” from laboratory rearings initiated with individuals from Oaxaca, Mexico; Cypress Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada; and Riverside, California. Fisher & Orth (1972a), in their resurrection of Sepedon pacifica from synonymy, redescription of S. praemiosa, and analysis of distribution records and specimens, considered that the rearings initiated with individuals from Mexico were S. praemiosa and that those from Cypress Lake and Riverside were S. pacifica. They noted that Neff & Berg (1966) did not indicate any biological or morphological differences between immatures from the three localities. BG 11; PG 2 HOSTS/PREY OF LARVAE: Biomphalaria glabrata, Helisoma trivolvis, and Physa sp. IMMATS: Neff & Berg 1966 (E, L1–L3, P, but not known whether from S. pacifica or S. praemiosa). Neff & Berg (1966) described all immature stages of “ Sepedon praemiosa ” from specimens from laboratory rearings initiated with individuals from Oaxaca, Mexico and Cypress Lake, Canada. As noted above, Fisher & Orth (1972a) considered the Mexican material to be S. praemiosa and the Canadian material to be S. pacifica. MOL_DAT: Y Note: Steyskal (1951) placed S. pacifica in synonymy with S. praemiosa Giglio-Tos. Fisher & Orth (1972a) removed S. pacifica from that synonymy.
