Abstract

Dieser Vortrag thematisiert, wie die jüngsten Entwicklungen im Bereich künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) die Landschaft von Forschung und Lehre umgestalten und welche Rolle wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken in diesem Prozess spielen können.<br> Gemeinsam werfen wir ein Schlaglicht auf die jüngste Generation von KI-Anwendungen, insbesondere generativer KI wie ChatGPT, und beleuchten deren Relevanz und Potenzial für den akademischen Bereich. Wir diskutieren die Herausforderungen, welche KI-Anwendungen der ChatGPT-Ära für forschungsethische Fragestellungen, für die gute wissenschaftliche Praxis und für etablierte Lehrmethoden darstellen, aber auch welche neuen Möglichkeiten sie eröffnen. Befürchtungen gegenüber dieser disruptiven Technologie sollen adressiert und kritische Perspektiven eingenommen werden.<br> Zuletzt stellt der Vortrag Ideen zur Diskussion, wie wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken ihre Rolle in diesem sich rasant entwickelnden Aufgabenbereich ausloten und definieren können, indem sie ihre Relevanz für Kernaspekte dieses sich anbahnenden Strukturwandels – z.B. beim Thema OA-Transformation – erkennen und bibliothekarische Kompetenzen erweitern. Wir werfen einen Blick auf zukünftige Aufgabenfelder und diskutieren, wie wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken ganz konkret als Akteure im Bereich KI agieren können.
