Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

_______________________________________________________________________________________ The Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean asthma family cohort is a cohort created in 1997 and maintained by Professor Catherine Laprise to collect general health, clinical and genetic (genome, epigenome and transcriptome) data for the study of genetic and environmental risk and protective factors for asthma. The cohort included 1,394 individuals from 271 families. Genetic data from this set were generated in collaboration with Professor Damian Labuda of the Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine (CHU Saint-Justine) and Professor Hélène Vézina of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), to serve as reference data for the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. Data were generated for 235 unrelated individuals from the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean asthma family cohort using the Illumina Omni2.5 chip. The inclusion criteria for these 235 individuals were to be over 18 years of age and to have all four grandparents native to the region. Genetic files in PLINK format (bed, bim, fam).

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
