Abstract
O autor procurou reconstruir a trajetória dos estudos sobre a neoliberalização da educação, para então estabelecer a posição de Foucault nesse contexto. Durante vários anos, a obra do filósofo francês permaneceu, pelo menos na França, longe das análises sobre o neoliberalismo. Mas, com a publicação dos cursos nos quais Foucault analisa o neoliberalismo, uma nova corrente de estudos foucaultianos emergiu. Houve uma tentativa de retorno à interpretação foucaultiana tendo em vista as mudanças ocorridas na sociedade desde as palestras do filósofo. O livro A Nova Razão do Mundo: Ensaio sobre a sociedade neoliberal, de Christian Laval e Pierre Dardot, está na origem desse movimento de atualização do diagnóstico de Foucault. Surgiram muitos estudos apresentando um novo diagnóstico dos sistemas educativos que, embora não mencionassem Foucault, baseavam-se na Nova Razão do Mundo. Os cursos do filósofo francês deram origem a uma nova geração de pensadores e pesquisadores responsáveis por restabelecer o caráter de crítica política radical da obra de Foucault.
