CESM2 data for "Fingerprints of AMOC Decline are Sensitive to External and Mechanistic forcing" - submitted to GRL
Bibliographic record
Abstract
CESM2 Experiment names: MD = mechanically decoupled model (referred to as MDM in paper), CESM2 FC = fully coupled model (referred to as FCM in paper), CESM2 External Forcing names: BHISTsmbb and HIST refer to historical all forcing SSP370 and future refer to SSP3.70 future projection forcing SF-GHG refers to historical single forcing greenhouse gas only Decoding file names: "Ensmean" refers to ensemble mean. Files beginning "global", "subpolar", or "LabSea" are averaged globally, within the North Atlantic subpolar gyre (46-60°N, 320-345°E) , or within the Labrador Sea (51-65°N, 295-315°E), respectively. Variables: MOC = meridional overturning circulation AMOC = Atlantic component of meridional overturning circulation TAUY = meridional component of wind stress TAUX = zonal component of wind stress TEMP = ocean temperature SALT = ocean salinity HMXL = ocean mixed layer depth SHFLX = surface heat flux, positive into ocean SSS = sea surface salinity SST = sea surface temperature More extensive data output from FC model is available through CESM2 LENS (https://www.cesm.ucar.edu/community-projects/lens2) and CESM2 Single Forcing Large Ensemble Project (https://www.cesm.ucar.edu/working-groups/climate/simulations/cesm2-single-forcing-le). Additional output from the MD model is available upon request to Kay McMonigal and/or Sarah Larson.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
