Abstract
Un accompagnement dans les choix d'orientation peut favoriser le processus de prise de décision et influencer la poursuite et la réussite des études. Les mesures de soutien à la réussite mise en place en 2000 et évaluées en 2004 (Commission d'évaluation de l'enseignement collégial, 2004) se sont avérées satisfaisantes pour les établissements collégiaux. Maintenant que les collèges ont gagné en expérience dans ces mesures, il parait pertinent de dresser un portrait des mesures récemment adoptées en lien avec le soutien aux choix d'orientation dans les plans de réussite en début de première année d'études collégiales. Cet essai dresse ce portrait des actions récentes favorisant les choix d'orientation dans trois établissements d'enseignement collégial publics francophones. L'analyse des actions a été ensuite effectuée selon 1) les catégories d'actions soutenant la transition (Tinto, 1993); 2) la typologie du cheminement des élèves (CSÉ, 2002); 3) les trois établissements de l'échantillon (Cégep de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu; Cégep du Vieux-Montréal; Cégep de Trois-Rivières).
