Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Economic activity in Malta continued to expand robustly in the fourth quarter of 2015, with real
\ngross domestic product (GDP) increasing by 5.7% on a year earlier. Growth was driven by
\ndomestic demand. Hard data point to further expansion in tourism at the beginning of 2016, but
\nweakness in manufacturing. Buoyant economic activity is being reflected in the labour market,
\nwith employment expanding and the unemployment rate remaining at historically low levels. Price
\npressures were moderate. The annual rate of inflation, based on the Harmonised Index of Consumer
\nPrices (HICP) was unchanged at 1.0% in March. Maltese residents’ deposits continued to
\nexpand at a rapid annual rate in February, while the annual rate of growth of credit to residents
\neased slightly to 5.7%. As regards fiscal developments, the general government deficit narrowed
\nsubstantially in 2015. On the other hand, the deficit on the Consolidated Fund widened. In the first
\ntwo months of 2016 the Consolidated Fund showed a deficit compared with a surplus a year earlier,
\nmainly due to lower grant receipts. On the external side, the surplus on the current account
\nof the balance of payments increased in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
