Ce n’est pas nouveau : pour permettre l’amélioration et l’évolution, le changement est nécessaire à la survie des organisations. Toutefois, peut-il y en avoir trop? Dans la littérature, on voit apparaitre de nouveaux concepts concernant la présence accrue du changement tel que l’excès de changements, soit le concept central de ce mémoire. Pour tenter d’en découvrir davantage, cette recherche de type exploratoire a pour but d’explorer, dans le réseau de la santé et des services sociaux au Québec, comment les gestionnaires et les professionnels composent avec l’excès de changements. Nous nous concentrons particulièrement sur les distinctions quant aux mécanismes d’adaptation déployés face à l’excès de changements de ces deux groupes d’acteurs. Ainsi, cela est exploré par l’entremise d’entrevues semi-structurées avec 9 professionnels et 7 gestionnaires. C’est avec une analyse qualitative et une approche abductive s’appuyant sur la matrice des mécanismes d’adaptation provenant de la littérature de Stensaker et ses collaborateurs (2002) que nous présentons les résultats. D’abord, nous constatons que l’excès de changements est perçu chez l’ensemble des répondants. Pour composer avec cela, les gestionnaires utilisent principalement un mécanisme d’adaptation appelé dévouer, alors que les professionnels en déploient plusieurs (ex. résigner, équilibrer, ventiler, etc.) De plus, nous sommes en mesure d’ajouter d’autres mécanismes d’adaptation à ceux de Stensaker et ses collaborateurs (2002) pour ensuite, offrir une classification de ceux-ci selon trois dimensions. Par ailleurs, nous relevons cinq facteurs facilitant l’acceptation, l’adhésion et l’intégration des changements, atténuant donc l’excès de changements. \n_____________________________________________________________________________ \nMOTS-CLÉS DE L’AUTEUR : changements organisationnels, excès de changements, mécanismes d’adaptation.
