Geologisen suunta-aineiston 3D-visualisointi Suomusjärven alueella

Abstract
Kallioperän 3D-mallintamista hyödynnetään nykyisin niin geologisissa perustutkimuksissa, kalliorakentamisessa, kuin kaivosympäristöissä. Tässä tutkielmassa perehdytään geologisen 3D-mallintamisen menetelmiin ja ohjelmistojen toimintaperiaatteisiin. \n \nSuomusjärvellä sijaitseva tutkimusalue on osa Svekofennistä akkreetio-orogeniavyöhykettä, joka koostuu toisiinsa liittyneistä terraaneista. Suomusjärven alue on osa Suomen Svekofennidien eteläisintä terraania, Etelä-Suomen kaarikompleksia, jonka monivaiheinen metamorfinen ja rakenteellinen kehitys kulminoitui noin 1830-1810 Ma sitten. \n \nTutkimusaineistona hyödynnettiin alueella tätä työtä varten tehtyjä maastohavaintoja ja vanhoja kartoituksia. Lisäksi hyödynnettiin Suomen kallioperän-DigiKP – karttatietokantaa sekä laserkeilausaineistoa. Kerätystä aineistosta rakennettiin kahdella eri ohjelmistolla kaksi Suomusjärven alueen geologiaa kuvaavaa mallia. Ensimmäinen malli laadittiin käyttämällä Paradigm™:n GOCAD® Mining Suiteen kehitettyä SPARSE-moduulia. Toinen malli tehtiin Intrepidin GeoModeller-ohjelmiston avulla. Tarkoituksena oli vertailla sekä malleja, että käytettyjen ohjelmistojen toimivuutta Suomen kallioperän monimutkaisten rakenteiden mallintamisessa. \nKoska mallit perustuivat paljolti vanhoihin paljastumahavaintoihin, ei niiden avulla saatu alueelta uutta geologista tietoa. Käytettyjen ohjelmistojen vahvuudet ja heikkoudet kävivät ilmi tutkielman aikana. Kumpikin ohjelmisto soveltuu Suomen kallioperän mallintamiseen tiettyine rajoituksineen.
