Abstract
Javier Elí Astorga es Politólogo (ULA) con una Maestría en Filosofía (ULA). Profesor Instructor desde octubre 2007, de la Escuela de Ciencias Políticas, Universidad de Los Andes (ULA) en Mérida, Venezuela. Ha sido becario del Programa Fulbright para la realización de un Curso de Verano sobre ‘Política Exterior de los Estados Unidos’ (2006), auspiciado por la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Caracas. También ha llevado a cabo un proyecto de investigación auspiciado por el Programa ‘Understanding Canada’ y la Embajada de Canadá en Caracas, acerca del desempeño político e institucional de los Think Tanks Canadienses (2009-2010). Su Proyecto de Grado de Maestría aborda el carácter racional de la política desde los principales discursos y debates disciplinarios en torno a la Teoría Política contemporánea. Desde mayo de 2010, forma parte como investigador activo del Grupo de Investigación sobre Políticas Públicas de Propiedad Intelectual (G3PI), con sede en la Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas y Políticas.
