Las restricciones en la actividad y la participación que enfrentan los jóvenes con parálisis cerebral tienen un impacto significativo en su vida <br />diaria. En este contexto, la terapia ocupacional desempeña un papel fundamental al promover la autonomía y facilitar la participación en ocupaciones significativas. El enfoque Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) se presenta como una intervención eficaz, centrada en la persona, que permite la creación estrategias propias para el desarrollo de habilidades. El objetivo de este trabajo es desarrollar un plan de intervención desde terapia ocupacional en una adolescente con parálisis cerebral unilateral. Se utilizó el Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory Computer Adaptive Test (PEDI-CAT) para evaluar el estado funcional, y la Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) y la Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM) para establecimiento de metas y la consecución de los objetivos. La intervención se realizó en diez sesiones siguiendo la metodología CO-OP. Tras la intervención se observaron cambios mínimos en la reevaluación del PEDI-CAT. Sin embargo, GAS y COPM mostraron una mejora significativa en el desempeño y la satisfacción de los objetivos establecidos. La aplicación de este enfoque favoreció la mejora del desempeño ocupacional en actividades de autocuidado, lo que resultó en un incremento de la autonomía y una reducción de la carga sobre los cuidadores. <br /><br />
