Abstract
La mondialisation est aujourd'hui communément acceptée dans le champ académique comme un ensemble de processus dynamiques et multidimensionnels opérant à divers niveaux de la vie sociale contemporaine - économique, politique, culturel, idéologique, technologique, etc.- qui dépassent les frontières spatiales et temporelles « fixes » traditionnellement considérées comme acquises. Cette accélération et intensification des échanges économiques et des activités sociales ont profondément modifié la nature des relations économiques, géopolitiques et culturelles entre nations, aujourd’hui de plus en plus interdépendantes et interconnectées. Si cette définition englobante rend bien compte de la complexité intrinsèque de la mondialisation, l'envisageant dans la perspective de réseaux, de flux et de mouvements transcontextuels, l'étude des caractéristiques et des trajectoires de ces processus toutefois, ainsi que la nature conflictuelle et ambivalente de leurs effets au niveau des nations - tout comme la manière dont ces nations appréhendent ces effets - restent à être examinées plus en profondeur.
