Abstract
Les Mélanges Jean-Marc Morceau qui rassemblent 105 auteurs en deux volumes, honorent la carrière d'un historien qui a marqué l'histoire des campagnes et, plus largement, le secteur des sciences humaines et sociales depuis trente ans. Professeur d'histoire à l'Université de Caen Normandie, Jean-Marc Moriceau a dirigé le Pôle Rural de la MRSH depuis sa fondation, en 1993, jusqu'en 2022. Il a créé, avec toute une équipe, la revue Histoire et Sociétés Rurales qui a relancé l'importance de ce champ d'étude dans le monde francophone. A l'occasion de son départ à la retraite, le parcours collectif proposé ici couvre les quatre périodes historiques, de l'Antiquité à l'époque actuelle. Il intéresse aussi la géographie, l'archéologie, l'agronomie, le droit, la linguistique, l'ethnologie, l'anthropologie et la sociologie.
