Abstract
RESUMO Analisa a situação de Portugal, dos arquipélagos portugueses situados na fronteira dos dois Atlânticos – o do Norte e o do Sul –, dos países de expressão oficial portuguesa da costa atlântica da África e do Brasil no que diz respeito às mudanças geopolíticas decorrentes do fim da guerra fria. Argumenta que não parece estável a segurança do Atlântico Norte sem um claro conceito de segurança para o Atlântico Sul. ABSTRACT The dark-brown ocean. v. 21, n. 2, p. 239-251, jul./dez. 1993. Analyzes the situation of the Portuguese archipelagos located in the frontier of the two Atlantics – the one of the North and the one of the South –, of the countries of official Portuguese expression at the Atlantic coast of Africa and Brazil concerning the geopolitical changes occurred after the Cold War. Tout en analysant les changements géopolitiques qui découlent de la fin de la guerre froide, l’auteur étudie non seulement la situation du Portugal et de quelques archipels portugais situés à la frontière des deux océans Atlantiques – celui du Nord et celui du Sud –, mais aussi des pays d’expression portugaise de la côte atlantique de l’Afrique et du Brésil. Il fait oberver que la sécurité de l’Atlantique du Nord ne serait pas stable sans une meilleure compréhension de la sécurité pour l’Atlantique du Sud.
