Abstract
Emerging adulthood is a developmental phase that arises due to the transition from late adolescence to early adulthood. In this phase, individuals commonly experience a quarter life crisis, which is a crisis experienced by some individuals entering the early adulthood phase. Whether an individual is successful or not through the crisis they are experiencing is influenced by internal factors such as perception. How a person perceives events that occur is called locus of control. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of locus of control on quarter life crisis in early adulthood. This research uses a correlational quantitative approach with research subjects aged 18-28 years. The sampling technique used accidental sampling and the data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results of the research show that there is an influence of locus of control on the quarter life crisis (p = 0.000 < 0.05), where internal locus of control is negatively related to the quarter life crisis and external locus of control is positively related to the quarter life crisis. The implication of this research is that it is hoped that it can help individuals who are in the early adulthood phase who are still going through the quarter life crisis phase to open their horizons by seeing difficulties as something that can be faced and overcome by having a tendency towards an internal locus of control.
