Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática, para estudiar la vacuna contra la influenza como factor predisponente del síndrome de Guillain-Barré en la población vacunada frente a los no vacunados en estudios observacionales. Material y métodos: Se realizó la búsqueda en las bases de datos de MedLine (PubMed), Scopus y Web of Science desde Diciembre del 2021 hasta Enero del 2022; sin aplicar filtro alguno a la información obtenida. Se incluyó estudios observacionales de cohorte, casos y controles o ambos, que estudiaron la aplicación de la vacuna contra la influenza y la instauración del síndrome de Guillain-Barré. El sesgo de cada estudio fue evaluado por la Escala de Newcastle-Ottawa, aceptándose únicamente estudios de bajo riesgo. Resultados: Un total de 5 estudios de casos y controles fueron incluidos, conformándose grupos de 2 346 casos y 20 825 controles. La síntesis meta-analítica en Odds Ratio es de 1,93 (IC al 95%: 0,93 a 4,02) y la dirección del efecto tiende a favorecer el evento de manera no significativa. Conclusiones: La evidencia obtenida muestra la no asociación entre la vacuna contra la influenza y la predisposición para la instauración del síndrome de Guillain-Barré. Más estudios son necesarios. Los autores no lograron garantizar el acceso a la base de datos EMBASE y tampoco realizaron búsqueda de la literatura gris. La inclusión de estudios de bajo riesgo otorga una alta calidad a la información sintetizada en este estudio.
