Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

“Meaning is embodied and finds its support in human intersubjectivity, in art, in\nsymbols, in language, and in the lives and deeds of persons…” (Lonergan,1994, p.\n57). This essay is based on the assumption that in order to reform higher education\nand face the challenges of this change of epoch it is necessary to transform not\nonly teaching practices and organizational structures, but also university culture.\nSo in order to point towards an authentic reform of the university, the analysis and\nconsequent vehicles of meaning proposed by Canadian philosopher Bernard\nLonergan are relevant: the intersubjective environment of university, the art that\nsurrounds university life, the language characterizing teacher discourse, the\nsymbols of university tradition and the persons involved in daily life of university\nclassrooms. From the proposal of the seven complex lessons for the education of\nthe future by Edgar Morin (2001), this work provides a matrix that describes some\nelements for the transformation of vehicles of meaning needed to change\nuniversity culture in Latin America and may be useful as a research tool to inquire\nabout these elements.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
