Abstract
У тезах автором розглянуто один із найбільших вуличних фестивалів Північної Америки – Український фестиваль в Торонто, заснований в 1995 році з нагоди відзначення об’єднання міст Торонто і Києва під егідою Українського канадського конгресу. Сам фестиваль розглядається як важливий чинник збереження української культурної спадщини у Канаді. Викладений матеріал містить інформацію про організацію культурного заходу, процес його проведення, характеристику творчих колективів. З’ясовано значення фестивалю також як фактору репрезентації української культури в канадському суспільстві. \n(The author analyses one of the largest street festivals in North America – Toronto Ukrainian Festival, which was founded in 1995 to celebrate the unification of Toronto and Kyiv under the auspices of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress. The festival is considered as an important factor in the preservation of the Ukrainian heritage in Canada. The research contains the information about the organization of cultural events, about the process of the event’s realization and about the characteristics of creative groups. The author considers the festival as a representation factor of the Ukrainian culture in the Canadian society. )
