Abstract
Femínismi er í senn fræðigrein og barátta. Femínísk þekkingarfræði sprettur úr þeim áherslum og grundvallast á samspili rannsókna og reynslu. Hér eru áhrif femínískrar þekkingarsköpunar skoðuð. Rannsóknin er eigindleg og byggir á viðtölum við tíu núverandi og fyrrverandi meistaranemendur í kynjafræði við Háskóla Íslands. Við greiningu gagna var Vancouver-skólanum innan fyrirbærafræða og grundaðri kenningu beitt. Rannsóknin grundvallast á sterkri hlutlægni þar sem áhersla er lögð á staðsetningu rannsakenda. Niðurstöður renna stoðum undir það að kynjafræði er ekki aðeins fræðigrein baráttunnar heldur sömuleiðis fræðigrein persónulegrar vitundarvakningar sem hefur gríðarleg áhrif á þau sem hana nema. Þá benda niðurstöður til þess að áhrif námsins leiði ekki endilega til þess að nemendur beiti sér í femínískri baráttu í gegnum félagasamtök eins og áberandi var í annarri bylgju femínismans, heldur kjósa mismunandi leiðir fyrir farveg hugsjóna sinna. Áherslur viðmælenda á baráttu mismunandi femínista sem mynda fjöldasamstöðu er í anda greiningu Snyder (2008) á þriðju bylgju femínismans. Þó má greina meiri jákvæðni í garð róttækni en skilgreining Snyder felur í sér. Margslungin tengsl femínískrar sjálfsvitundar og baráttuhegðunar sýna að kenning um styðjandi kvenleika (Connell, 1995) og mengandi kvenleika (Schippers, 2007) nær ekki með heildstæðum hætti yfir femíníska baráttuhegðun. Því er nýr hugtakarammi lagður fram sem felur í sér dýpri greiningu á áhrifum femínískrar þekkingarsköpunar og gildi hennar fyrir þróun jafnréttisbaráttunnar
