Abstract
Culture Shock merupakan salah satu bagian dari kehidupan warga yang cukup menarik guna diteliti dikarenakan tergolong salah satu masalah umum ketika ada pendatang di tempat baru. Tujuan dari penelitain ini ialah guna menganalisis serta menguasai sebagian permasalahan sosial yang berkaitan dengan culture shock serta penyelesaian guna meminimalkan terjadinya culture shock. Objek penelitiannya ialah Sacha Stevenson seorang ekspatriat yang berasal dari Canada yang bertempat tinggal di Indonesia sejak tahun 2001. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif analisis isi dengan mengalisis konten culture shock pada youtube sacha stevenson dengan menggunakan teori Rachmat Kriyantono. Hasil dari periset ini ialah menganalisis kategori culture shock yang dirasakan oleh sacha stevenson selama bertempat tinggal di Indonesia. Terdapat fase-fase culture shock yang dialami sacha ialah fase kegembiraan, fase kekecewaan, fase dini resolusi serta fase berperan dengan efisien. Kesiapan untuk beradaptasi diri perlu dipersiapkan dengan mempelajari budaya masyarakat, keterampilan berbahasa serta mengenali lingkungan yang terdapat pada suatu tempat. \n \nKata Kunci: Gegar Budaya, Ekspatriat, Youtube, Analisis Isi
