Tämän insinöörityön tavoitteena oli perehtyä CMV Truck & Bus Claytonin toimipisteen huoltoprosessin ongelmakohtiin ja eliminoida ne, jotta korjaamosta tulisi tehokkaampi ja huoltoprosessi olisi selkeämpi. Korjaamon huoltoprosessissa ja varaosatoiminnoissa ha-vaittiin paljon tekijöitä, joihin kului turhan paljon aikaa ja otin tavoitteekseni korjata nämä tekijät, jotta korjaamolle saataisiin toimiva ja tuottoisa huoltoprosessi. Työssä perehdyttiin myös korjaamon tunnuslukuihin ja niiden laskemiseen. CMV Truck & Bus on yksityinen perheyritys Australiassa, joka toimii Volvo, Mack ja UD kuorma-auto korjaamona sekä au-tomyyjänä Australian Melbournessa.\n\nAloitin työni mekaanikkona CMV:llä toukokuussa 2016 tarkastelemalla huoltoprosessin kulkua sekä tiedustelemalla työnjohtajilta toimintatavoista. Huomattuani ison eron Suomen ja Australian toimintatavoissa, syntyi idea huoltoprosessin kehittämisestä. Varaosatoimin-noissa havaittiin myös puutteita tarkastelemalla toimintatapoja sekä asentajilta kerätyn tiedon perusteella. \n\nIsoimmat ongelmat johtuivat lähinnä järjestelmällisyyden puutteesta, pitkä jono varaosatis-kin takana, turha juokseminen pihalla asiakasautojen perään sekä aamuruuhka hallityön-johdossa muodostivat tekijät, jotka vaikuttivat toimipisteen tehokkuuteen. Tämän insinööri-työn lopputuloksena syntyi korjaamolle toimiva ja tehokas toimintamalli, jota henkilökunta käyttää jokapäiväisessä työssään, lisäksi työnjohtajalla on nyt selkeämpi rooli ja paremmat työmenetelmät.
