Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A NUMBER OF R & D PROJECTS RELATED TO FUSION ENERGY HAVE BEEN LAUNCHED UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY AGENCY. ANNEX II OF THE "IMPLEMENTING AGREEMENT FOR A PROGRAMME OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ON RADIATION DAMAGE IN FUSION MATERIALS" ASSIGNS THE ROLE OF THE OPERATING AGENT TO THE EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY (EURATOM) FOR TWO LARGE SERIES OF IRRADIATIONS IN FISSION REACTORS. - THE SO CALLED "OAK RIDGE TEST MATRIX" (ORTM), NAMED AFTER ITS 1981 PLACE OF BIRTH, COVERING A VARIETY OF IN-PILE TESTS IN TWO US AND THREE EUROPEAN THERMAL MATERIALS TESTING REACTORS ON CANDIDATE FIRST WALL AUSTENITIC STEEL SPECIMENS. - THE BREEDER EXPERIMENT MATRIX (BEATRIX), INTRODUCED IN 1983, CONCERNING SOLID BREEDER MATERIAL IRRADIATION TESTING IN ONE JAPANESE, ONE CANADIAN, AND THREE EUROPEAN THERMAL TEST REACTORS, AS WELL AS IN AN US EXPERIMENTAL FAST BREEDER REACTOR. BOTH SCHEMES DEFINE ABOUT 20 TESTS EACH, THE NUMBER OF LABORATORIES INVOLVED IS SEVEN FOR THE OAK RIDGE AND 11 FOR THE BEATRIX TEST MATRIX. DURING THE SIX AND FOUR YEARS, RESPECTIVELY, OF OPERATION, THE INDIVIDUAL SCHEDULES DRIFTED APART. A) UNDER THE ORTM FIRST RESULTS BECAME AVAILABLE BY THE END OF 1982 AND THE LAST REPORTS MIGHT NOT COME BEFORE THE END OF 1990. B) FIRST BEATRIX RESULTS WERE PUBLISHED IN SEPTEMBER 1986, AND THE LAST ONES OF THE PRESENT TEST MATRIX WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE BY THE END OF 1990. THE (POSTER) PAPER UPDATES THE PRESENT STATUS OF BOTH SCHEMES AND INDICATES POSSIBLE FUTURE PROSPECTS

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
