KENTSEL MEKÂNLARA DUYULAN AİDİYET HİSSİNİN KADINLARIN SİYASAL/ YÖNETSEL KATILIMINA ETKİSİ: BATI KARADENİZ BÖLGESİ’NDE BİR ALAN ARAŞTIRMASI

Abstract
Kadın ve erkek arasında kent yönetimine katılım boyutunda nüfusla orantılı bir temsiliyetin gerçekleşmemesi durumu günümüzde insan hakları ihlali çerçevesinde değerlendirilmektedir. Ayrıca demokrasi kültürü açısından oldukça önem arz eden bu durum, ülkelerin gelişmişlik düzeyi için de etkilidir. Yaşanılan kente karşı hissedilen aidiyet duygusunun kent halkının yönetime katılım göstermesi için önemli olduğu düşüncesinden yola çıkılarak gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada, yönetsel düzeyde katılım gösteren kadınlarla yapılan bir anket çalışması ile durum tespiti yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı örneklem olarak seçilen kentlerde, kentsel mekânlara karşı duyulan aidiyet hissinin kadınların kent yönetimine katılım göstermesinde etkili olup olmadığının tespit edilmesidir. Çalışmanın sahası Batı Karadeniz Bölgesi’nde seçilen Bolu, Zonguldak ve Sinop’tur. Bu sahada edinilen bulgular kentlerin hepsinde kadın yöneticilerin yaşadıkları kentlere karşı duydukları sahiplenme duygusunun oldukça yüksek olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu sonuç, kentlerin sahip olduğu birtakım özellikleri (sosyo-ekonomik gelişmişlik düzeyi, kentin sahip olduğu toplumsal kültür) ile kadınların sahip olduğu bazı özelliklerinin (sosyo-ekonomik düzey, kentte geçirilen yaşam süresi, yönetsel görev ve düzey, etkin sosyal-siyasal yaşam) kente karşı hissedilen aidiyet duygusu ile ilişkilendirilmesi gerekliliği araştırmaya ilham vermiştir.
