Cette étude a comme contenu d’une part, une analyse théorique des données existantes à propos de l’observance aux traitements et d’autre part, une analyse pratique qui explore plus spécifiquement les facteurs influençant l’observance au traitement anticancéreux oral (TAO). Dans le domaine de l’oncohématologie, l’observance aux TAO au sein des populations migrantes et des minorités ethniques n’a que très peu été étudiée. De plus, aucunes données n’existent dans notre contexte socioculturel belge. Face à cela, notre objectif est de contribuer à combler le manque d’informations à ce sujet en étudiant le vécu de la maladie et la prise des TAO auprès des patients migrants atteints d'hémopathies malignes au sein d’un établissement hospitalier bruxellois. Une analyse qualitative avec comme outil méthodologique un guide d’entretien semi-dirigé, le McGill Illness Narrative Interview, a été utilisé pour investiguer si et comment la barrière linguistique et la distance culturelle impactent l’observance des patients migrants. Les résultats ne permettent pas d’affirmer à ce stade de l’étude qu’il existe un lien entre ces facteurs et l’observance au traitement. Cependant, cette étude a pu dégager des perspectives d’amélioration en vue d’études plus approfondies concernant ce sujet de recherche.
