Abstract
Malgré les nombreux efforts de communication pour sensibiliser la population québécoise aux effets des changements climatiques ces dernières années, les réponses adéquates tardent encore à s’imposer. Ce constat met notamment en évidence l’importance d’optimiser les actions de communication, en s’intéressant d’une part aux différents profils des Québécois.e.s quant à leur disposition à l’action climatique, et d’autre part, en concevant des stratégies de cadrage de l’information adaptées à ces profils. C’est dans ce contexte que s’inscrit l’étude ayant permis d’élaborer le premier Baromètre de l’action climatique au Québec. Les résultats d’un sondage Web mené à l’automne 2019 ont permis de définir cinq profils de Québécois.e.s qui se distinguent notamment quant à leurs caractéristiques psychographiques (attitudes, croyances, comportements relatifs aux changements climatiques, etc.). Cette étude de segmentation fournit des pistes concrètes et utiles à tous les acteur.rice.s s’intéressant à la communication des changements climatiques au Québec. Dans cet article, nous en présentons les principaux constats, les cinq profils et quelques pistes de stratégies communicationnelles.
