Le rôle du climat de travail dans la prédiction de la violence organisationnelle en milieu hospitalier

Abstract
La littérature fait état de liens possibles entre le climat de travail (CT) et la fréquence des comportements de violence organisationnelle. Afin de mieux cerner le rôle du CT dans l'explication de ces comportements, 2595 membres francophones d'un centre hospitalier du Québec ont participé à la présente étude poursuivant deux objectifs: (1) examiner les liens existant entre les dimensions du CT et les comportements de violence organisationnelle; (2) prédire la fréquence de ces comportements à partir des dimensions du CT. D'une part, les résultats indiquent que le CT est étroitement associé à la fréquence des comportements de violence organisationnelle. D'autre part, la cohésion au sein de l'équipe de travail, la reconnaissance par l'organisation et le superviseur, l'accomplissement personnel au travail ainsi que la qualité de l'environnement physique de travail sont les quatre dimensions du CT les plus importantes dans la prédiction de la fréquence de ces comportements. Les présents résultats devraient permettre d'intervenir de façon éclairée sur les dimensions du CT contribuant à la perpétration des comportements de violence organisationnelle en milieu hospitalier.
