Bakalaureusetöö teemaks on Erdogan ja sündmused Türgi riigis tema valitsuse all. Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Türgi president ja endine peaminister, kes on järk-järgult oma volitusi laiendanud, mida kinnitab ka Türgi 2017. aasta põhiseaduse referendum, mille tulemusena sai Erdogan endale Türgis täidesaatva presidendivõimu.
\nTöö esimeses osas anti ülevaade erinevatest riigi režiimidest ning sellest millistel tingimustel saab režiim muutuda. Töö teises osas viis autor läbi analüüsi kus selgitas välja kuidas ja mis moodi on riigi režiim Türgis muutunud.
\nTulemustest selgus, et režiimi muutuses Türgis mängivad rolli nii riigis valitsevad majanduslikud raskused seoses liiri kukkumise, inflatsiooni ning tööpuudusega, islamit propageeriv mobilisatsioon kui ka režiimi lõhestatus Recep Tayyip Erdogani pooldajate ning opositsiooni vahel. Kuna esimesest peatükist selgus, et režiimi muutus Türgi riigis on võimalik, vaatas antud töö autor ka riigi olukorda nii aastal 2002 kui ka aastal 2018 ning leidis, et riigis toimunud muutuste alusel on riik muutunud ebademokraatlikumaks ning on kõige tõenäolisemalt liikumas autoritaarse režiimi poole kuna seal toimuvad sündmused vastavad kõige enam just autoritaarse riigikorra käsitlusele.
