La consultation gouvernementale sur la Stratégie d'innovation du Canada est une initiative du ministre de l'Industrie, Allan Rock, et de la ministre du Développement des ressources humaines, Jane Stewart. Cette consultation a pour objectifs d'informer les Canadiens et d'obtenir leur avis sur les orientations du gouvernement du Canada en matière d'innovation.\nVoici les quatre grands objectifs de la Stratégie d'innovation du Canada :\nLe savoir - Encourager les entreprises canadiennes à retirer plus d'avantages de la création du savoir et de la commercialisation des idées. Cela signifie aussi que tous les secteurs doivent investir davantage dans la R-D au Canada.\nLes compétences - Veiller à ce que, dans les années à venir, le Canada dispose d'un bassin suffisant de personnes hautement qualifiées pour assurer une économie du savoir dynamique.\nLe milieu d'innovation - Moderniser les régimes d'intendance et de réglementation afin d'encourager l'excellence en matière d'innovation et d'investissement.\nLe renforcement des collectivités - Encourager l'innovation à l'échelle locale afin que les collectivités demeurent des pôles d'attraction en matière d'investissement et de possibilités.
