Dans ce mémoire, j’étudie Hench de Natalie Zina Walschots en tant qu’espace ironique où des dimensions queers et féministes cohabitent en anglais, puis dans une traduction. Cette œuvre se distingue par sa perspective unique sur les sbires des vilain·es, qui remet en question les conventions du genre des super-héros·ïnes dans un revirement de valeurs ironique. Dans cette étude, je commence par analyser les éléments du texte lui-même à travers ses lieux et personnages queers, puis je me concentre sur une analyse féministe par l’utilisation de mécanismes usuels des comics books. Par la suite, j’utilise la traduction pour faire ressortir ces éléments d’analyse en explorant des théories traductologiques et des stratégies queers et féministes. Je propose ensuite des extraits de traduction qui me permettent de positionner mes choix de traduction dans un cadre ironique, pour que la volonté féministe apparente de Hench ne soit pas perdue en contexte queer.
