Abstract
L’estudi de l’Economia Social durant la crisi mundial del 2008 ha estat de gran interès \nentre la comunitat científica. El seu contingent efecte refugi, la disjuntiva en la seva \nevolució pro/contra-cíclica i la potencial capacitat adaptativa han estat temes de debat en \ndiversos estudis. La importància de conèixer el paper de les cooperatives en l’economia \nactual incentiva la recerca desenvolupada en aquest estudi. El present treball, pretén \ncontribuir a l’interès dels agents econòmics, analistes i de la pròpia comunitat de \ncooperatives, especialment les del sector agrari català, a conèixer els efectes de la recessió \neconòmica en el moviment cooperatiu. L’objectiu principal d’aquest treball és estudiar \nl’evolució desagregada durant la crisi econòmica del 2008 del sector de les cooperatives \nagràries que desenvolupen la seva activitat en la comunitat autònoma de Catalunya. \nL’anàlisi es centra en els efectes que la recent crisi ha tingut en les cooperatives del sector \nagrari a partir de la seva relació amb l’evolució del PIB. Dels resultats es desprèn la \nresiliència de les cooperatives en períodes d’inestabilitat econòmica. Les cooperatives es \nrecuperen abans de la crisi que l’economia general. No obstant això, no es pot confirmar \nun efecte refugi o un comportament purament contra-cíclic.
