Ce travail a pour but d'introduire le concept de paysage dans la saisie du rapport entre les sportifs et l'espace qu'ils investissent. Complétant l'analyse territoriale, que nous présentons dans un premier temps, les réflexions sur les paysages des sportifs permettent de toucher aux modes de valorisation de l'espace. Apparu au début du XVe siècle par le biais du monde artistique, le paysage est une notion complexe et évolutive qui intéresse aujourd'hui un large spectre de chercheurs (géographes, archéologues, historiens, philosophes ou sociologues). Parmi les grands axes de recherche qui se développent autour de l'objet, nous retenons plus particulièrement le courant "expérientiel". Celui-ci vise à rétablir le rôle de l'expérience in situ dans la définition du paysage. Il rappelle l'importance du contexte humain dans sa construction. Devant le peu de crédit accordé à la notion dans le domaine des études sur le sport, notre objectif est d'étudier la façon dont les sportifs sensibilisent l'espace. Cette sensibilisation s'actualise selon nous au travers du concept de paysage. Dès lors, nous émettons l'hypothèse générale que les sportifs, de par la nature de leur activité, fournissent de nouveaux modes d'appréciation du paysage. Le corps immergé dans la nature participe aujourd'hui activement à sa définition. Par le biais du sport, un savoir sensible s'établit, basé sur la propre expérience kinesthésique de l'individu. Il y aura alors autant de paysages que d'activités se déroulant en leur sein.
