The Working Group on Repointing Mortars will meet on June 21, 2006 (see http://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/projects/irc/repointing-mortar.html for more information). A new IRC software can be used to determine whether materials and ventilation strategies meet a specific air quality guideline (http://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/projects/irc/simulation.html). The CD-ROM versions of the 2005 National Building, Fire and Plumbing Codes will be released in spring 2006 (http://www.nrc.gc.ca/virtualstore). IRC researchers developed a new model which calculates lighting and view indices for complex fenestration systems. NRC-IRC plans to extend the results of this project to skylights in a new initiative related to its SkyVision project (http://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/projects/irc/optical-characteristics.html). IRC research on mechanically attached roofing membranes continues with Phase IV of the SIGDERS project.
