HUBUNGAN QUARTER LIFE CRISIS DAN PENYESUAIAN DIRI DENGAN SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING PADA MAHASISWA PERANTAU DI PEKANBARU
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Mahasiswa perantau dihadapkan pada tantangan untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan akademik, sosial, dan budaya yang baru. Disisi lain, rentang usia mahasiswa berada dalam fase perkembangan yang rentan mengalami quarter life crisis. Kedua kondisi itu dapat memengaruhi subjective well-being mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara quarter life crisis dan penyesuaian diri dengan subjective well-being pada mahasiswa perantau di Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 379 mahasiswa perantau di Pekanbaru. Data dikumpulkan melalui skala subjective well-being, skala quarter life crisis, dan skala penyesuaian diri. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Ini berarti terdapat hubungan antara quarter life crisis dan penyesuaian diri dengan subjective well-being pada mahasiswa perantau di Pekanbaru. Quarter life crisis berhubungan negatif terhadap subjective well-being (sig. 0,001 dan Beta -0,383) yang berarti semakin tinggi quarter life crisis yang dialami, semakin rendah tingkat subjective well-being. Sedangkan penyesuaian diri berhubungan positif terhadap subjective well-being (sig. 0,001 dan Beta 0,790) yang berarti semakin baik kemampuan penyesuaian diri mahasiswa perantau, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat subjective well-being mereka. Temuan ini menunjukkan untuk tetap mempertahankan stabilitas subjective well-being mahasiswa perantau, perlu meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri dan melakukan langkah-langkah untuk mengurangi terjadinya quarter life crisis. Pentingnya peran kemampuan penyesuaian diri serta perlunya perhatian terhadap dampak negatif quarter life crisis yang akan memengaruhi subjective well-being. Kata kunci : Quarter Life Crisis, Penyesuaian Diri, Subjective Well-being, Mahasiswa Perantau
