Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This thesis deals with the designing of a kindergarten and a residential space in the Leinelä district of Vantaa. \nThe starting point for the design has been the draft local plan of the Leinelä area (dated 19.3.2008) created by the Vantaa City Planning Department, as well as the space planning program for a kindergarten made by City of Vantaa . \nThe thesis examines the planning assumptions, the history of in Finland and its current state, and sets out some intriguing plans for kindergarten. \nThe main focus is, however, in the design. \n\nLeinelä is the first of a series of new housing areas along the ring rail line that connects Martinlaakso line with the main line. \nThe construction of Leinelä began in 2008, and the ring rail line is expected to start operating in 2015. \nThe kindergarten and residential space are located near Leinelä station, one block north of the center. \nThe design of the center block is based on the European 9 competition-winning work. \nAlthough both the kindergarten and residential space were part of the competition area, the plan will not be implemented for these plots. \n\nThe kindergarten is for seven groups, each of which is of 12 to 21 children, depending on the age group. \nThe children's age groups are 1-3 years, 4-5 years and 6 years old. \nThere are about 30 people working in the kindergarten. \nThe residential space is intended for a meeting place for all area residents. \nThe kindergarten and residents' space are in the same block, on adjacent plots and form a solid unit. \n\nThe buildings revolve around the yard and back onto the surrounding Leinelänkaari. \nThe buildings and the center block evoke similar design language, and these buildings form a clear entity of their own. \nIn front of the residential space there is a small square that connects the buildings with the center square. \nThe kindergarten is mainly one-storey, whereas the residential space has two-storeys. \nThe facades of the residential pace are pre-patinated copper; whilst the street facade of the kindergarten is also pre-patinated copper, the facades acing the yard are made of glass and wood. \nThe supporting structure is wooden. \n\nExtent: usable area 1418m2, floor area 1930m2, gross area 2020m2.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
