Abstract
Quarter Life Crisis is a social phenomenon experienced by individuals in the early adult age range. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the effect of social support and self-concept on the quarter-life crisis of Instagram user students. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a multiple regression analysis approach. The sample in this study amounted to 272 students using accidental sampling techniques to determine the number of samples. Then this research instrument was measured using three scales, namely the quarter-life crisis scale, social support scale, and self-concept scale. Based on the results of the study showed that the significant value of the social support variable was 0.425 (p < 0.05), this result shows that the first hypothesis is rejected which means there is no influence social support and the quarter- life crisis of Instagram user students. Furthermore, the value of the significant value of the self-concept variable is 0.000 (p < 0.05), this result shows that the hypothesis is accepted, or in other words, there is an influence self-concept and the quarter-life crisis of Instagram user students. Simultaneously, the third hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is an influence social support and self-concept on the quarter life crisis of Instagram user students with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a coefficient level of 0.260 or 26% so that the remaining 74% is determined by other factors. Keywords: quarter-life Crisis, self-consept, social support ABSTRAK: Quarter Life Crisis merupakan suatu fenomena sosial yang dialami oleh individu yang berada di kisaran usia dewasa awal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh dukungan sosial dan konsep diri terhadap quarter life crisis mahasiswa pengguna Instagram. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisis regresi berganda. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 272 mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling untuk menentukan jumlah sampel. Kemudian instrument penelitian ini di ukur menggunakan tiga skala, yaitu skala quarter life crisis, skala dukungan sosial, dan skala konsep diri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi variabel dukungan sosial sebesar 0,425 (p<0,05), hasil ini menunjukan hipotesis pertama ditolak yang berarti tidak terdapatnya pengaruh yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan quarter life crisis mahasiswa pengguna Instagram. Selanjutnya, nilai signifikan variabel konsep diri sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), hasil ini menunjukkan hipotesis diterima, atau dengan kata lain terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara konsep diri dengan quarter life crisis mahasiswa pengguna Instagram. Secara simultan hipotesis ketiga diterima, yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan konsep diri terhadap quarter life crisis mahasiswa pengguna Instagram dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05) dan taraf koefisien sebesar 0,260 atau 26% sehingga sisanya sebesar 74% ditentukan oleh faktor lain.
