Abstract
Desde 2018 nota-se um aumento expressivo na participação partidária, dentro do sistema político brasileiro, de pessoas que se auto identificam como trans. A cada pleito eleitoral se vê um aumento de mais de 100% de candidaturas, com cada vez mais eleitos, ao mesmo passo que ascende também o conservadorismo e a direita dentro dos espaços de criação de políticas públicas. Junto a esse cenário, mudanças sociais e culturais influenciam cada vez mais a adoção das redes sociais no processo político brasileiro, também na vida dos indivíduos trans e nas experiências relacionadas ao gênero. O presente estudo pretende abordar as características do engajamento político da população trans em paralelo com a análise de qual é o papel das redes sociais neste âmbito. Isso foi feito por meio de entrevistas que exploram as experiências de seis pessoas trans no Brasil, envolvidas em diferentes níveis de participação política. As transcrições das entrevistas foram analisadas por meio da análise temática e a partir das respostas foram identificados oito diferentes temas que serão desenvolvidos na presente dissertação: (1) A Importância da Interseccionalidade; (2) Violências Catalisadoras de Participação Política; (3) Necessidade de Transformação Política; (4) Os reflexos na Comunicação Digital: Nova Política e Nova Comunicação; (5) Organização Coletiva; (6) Instagram Como Plataforma de Escolha; (7) Violência de Gênero nas Redes; (8) A Construção da Identidade no Ambiente Digital.
