Ce mémoire présente la traduction et l’adaptation de l’italien régional de Rome au français montréalais des sous-titres des trois premiers épisodes ainsi que de la bande-annonce de la série italienne Strappare lungo i bordi de Zerocalcare. Le choix d’une stratégie traductive appartenant plutôt au courant assimilateur qu’étrangéisant a rendu nécessaire la recherche d’équivalents dynamiques entre les réalités géographiques, temporelles, technologiques, onomastiques, sportives et institutionnelles des contextes romain et québécois. Le traducteur explique les décisions traductives et adaptatives adoptées en vue de la transposition de la vie du protagoniste de la série de la ville de Rome à celle de Montréal, ainsi que les défis qu’implique la transcription de la langue parlée à la forme écrite.
