Articule og Nýlistasafnið : stjórnun tveggja félagasamtaka á listasviðinu

Abstract
Sú rannsókn sem hér fer á eftir er úttekt á stjórnun tveggja félagastofnana á listasviði. Markmiðið er að skoða stjórnarhætti listamannarekinna stofnana. Sett er fram sú tilgáta að \nlistamannareknar stofnanir þurfi sífellt að huga að góðum stjórnarháttum sem leiða til og auka lýðræðislega stjórnskipan og gefi aukið vægi til félagsmanna með öflugu sjálfboðastarfi. Notuð var tilviksrannsókn (e. case study) og skoðaðar tvær stofnanir. Nýlistasafnið í Reykjavík og Articule listamannarekin stofnun í Montreal, Kanada. Höfundur vann með báðum stofnununum yfir \ntímabilið frá janúar 2008 til september 2010 í Articule og október 2010 til apríl 2011 með stjórn Nýlistasafnsins. Leitast er við að svara tveimur spurningum: Hvernig geta listamannareknar \nstofnanir nýtt sér reynslu Articule og Nýlistasafnsins hvað varðar stjórnarhætti? og hvernig geta góðir stjórnarhættir aukið vægi félagsmanna, lýðræðislega skipan mála og sjálfboðaliðastarf \nHelstu niðurstöður rannsóknarinnar styðja þá tilgátu sem sett er fram. Listamannareknar stofnanir þurfa sífellt að huga að góðum stjórnarháttum sem leiða til og auka lýðræðislega stjórnskipan, gefa meira vægi til félagsmanna og stuðla að öflugu sjálfboðastarfi. Listfélög geta hugsanlega nýtt sér \nreynslu Articule og Nýlistasafnsins hvað varðar stjórnarhætti, og tekið mið af leiðum þeim sem nefndar eru. Þær eru endurskoðun á hlutverkum stjórna, aðgreining ákvörðunarvalds og \nframkvæmdavalds, koma á fót virkum málefnanefndum, setja skýrar reglur um hlutverk og störf málefnanefnda og reglur um lámarkssjálfboðastarf félagsmanna.
