Abstract
Este estudio compara la situación de las mujeres en los tres principales países \nde Asia oriental: China, Japón y Corea del Sur. En el estudio, se analizan y explican \nlas diferencias entre los tres países en términos de políticas nacionales y sistemas \nsociales a partir de los datos relativos a cinco aspectos: demografía, economía, salud, educación y participación política. Además, en la segunda parte del trabajo se incluyen \nlos resultados de un cuestionario de opinión que se utiliza para complementar las \nideas desarrolladas en la primera parte. El estudio refleja similitudes en los tres países, en los que predomina una cultura patriarcal de raíz confuciana, pero también pone en \nevidencia diferencias derivadas del distinto desarrollo político, económico y social en la \nhistoria reciente. Este estudio pretende contribuir a una mejor comprensión sobre la \nvida de las mujeres asiáticas desde un punto de vista multidisciplinar y puede ser visto \ncomo un primer paso, muy modesto, en una línea de investigación en los estudios \nasiáticos con perspectiva de género.
