Kun esitystaiteesta tulee poliittista : Elli Tompurista ja valkovenäläisestä underground-kollektiivista

Abstract
Kirjallinen opinnäytetyöni käsittelee pääasiassa kahta eri tahoa: Elli Tompuria ja valko-venäläistä teatterikollektiivi Belarus Free Theatrea. Opinnäytetyöni on selonteko kyseisten tahojen työstä esitystaiteen parissa ja siitä, kuinka se on vaikuttanut yhteiskunnallisesti. Näiden aiheiden osalta määritelmä esitystaide koskee näytelmää ja lausuntataidetta. \n \nTompuri rikkoi aikanaan Suomessa teatterikentän konventioita. Opinnäyteyössäni esittelen hänen uraansa ja perustamaansa Vapaata Näyttämöä. Otan esille Suomen poliittisen tilanteen 1920–30-luvuilla ja sen mahdollisen vaikutuksen Tompurin uraan sekä hänen työskentelynsä vasemmistolaisten keskuudessa. \n \nValko-Venäjää koskevan lyhyen poliittisen katsauksen jälkeen selvitän valkovenäläisen teatterikentän tilannetta ja sitten esittelen Belarus Free Theatren, joka on rikkonut myös rajusti maansa teatterikentän konventioita. Kollektiivin työ sen kotimaassa on sensuurin alla, mutta sen sijaan kansainvälisesti se on saanut kiitosta taiteellisen työnsä lisäksi työstään ilmaisun vapauden ja ihmisoikeuksien puolesta. \n \nLopuksi otan lyhyesti esille kolme teosta, jotka ovat aiheuttaneet Suomen lähihistoriassa yleistä supliikkia: Kristian Smedsin ohjaama Tuntemattoman sotilaan näytelmäversio, animaatio-elokuva Uralin perhonen, ohj. Katariina Lillqvist, sekä näytelmä Mannerheim – eli lapsistasi ei mitään, ohj. Lauri Maijala.
