Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

»-- « The COVID-19 pandemic has significant consequences for the world of work, with the large-scale deployment of telecommuting having been imposed, which has an impact on management methods within companies. It is therefore appropriate to question the effects of this significant change on work organization and management methods. This research focuses on the effect of leadership practices in a telecommuting context from the perspective of managers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. More specifically, it examines the link between telecommuting and the adaptation of management practices in a Customer Relationship Centre (CRC) context within a Canadian financial company. The concepts studied are leadership, telecommuting and the pandemic from a work organization perspective. Using inductive reasoning, this research is qualitative in nature. The method of data collection is mainly semi-structured interviews. The results obtained corroborate previous studies about telework, although not all of them are related to the pandemic context, and they enable us to understand the interrelationships between management and leadership practices, as well as the concepts of mobilization, commitment and individual performance. The findings help us to understand how managers perceive their role in terms of work organization, mobilization, motivation, legitimacy and credibility of the management function, subordination and the leader's position of power in a context of rapid deployment of full-time telecommuting. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : Telecommuting, leadership, management, customer contact center, managers, pandemic. »--

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
