La réaction du corps humain à un effort physique ou à de [i.e. des] températures froides prédispose le système cardio-vasculaire, s'il est en mauvais état, à subir un infarctus du myocarde. Les facteurs physiques et humains ont une référence spatio-temporelle et peuvent donc être analysés avec les outils de la géomatique. Ce projet de recherche vise à vérifier l'existence d'un lien entre deux facteurs physiques, soit les précipitations nivales et les températures froides extrêmes, et l'incidence d'hospitalisation pour un infarctus du myocarde en utilisant les outils de la géomatique. Pour ce faire, il faut tout d'abord effectuer l'analyse des besoins sur la maladie et l'environnement. Il faut ensuite identifier les variables en cause, vérifier l'existence des données existantes et les structurer de manière à être utilisées dans la base de données à définir et à réaliser au niveau conceptuel et logique. La variable dépendante représente les cas d'infarctus du myocarde et les variables indépendantes sont les accumulations de neige et la température"--Résumé abrégé par UMI.
