Latar Belakang: Meningkatnya jumlah lansia terjadi peningkatan jumlah usia harapan
\nhidup, dimana pada lansia telah mengalami degenaratif atau fungsi penurunan
\nstruktur tubuh, yang banyak terjadi yaitu osteoarthritis knee menyebabkan lansia
\nmengalami penurunan dalam aktivitas fungsionalnya sehingga menghambat dalam
\nmelakukan aktivitas sehari-hari.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh
\nlatihan isometric otot quadriceps dan latihan closed kinetic chain terhadap
\npeningkatan aktivitas fungsional pada penderita osteoarthritis knee . Metode:
\nPenelitian ini merupakan quasi experimental randomized pre test and post test
\ntwo group design sebanyak 16 orang penderita osteoarthritis knee. Sampel dibagi
\nmenjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok I mendapat perlakuan latihan isometric otot
\nquadriceps, kelompok II mendapat perlakuan latihan closed kinetic chain ,
\nkeduanya dilakukan 3 kali seminggu selama 4 minggu. Alat ukur dalam
\npenelitian kemampuan fungsional Western Ontario and Mcmaster Universities
\nOsteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) . Uji normalitas data menggunakan uji shapiro wilktest
\ndan uji homogenitas data menggunakan l avene’ test. Penggunaan Paired
\nsamples t-test untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas fungsional pada kelompok I
\ndan II serta menggunakan Independent samples t-test untuk menguji perbedaan
\npengaruh hasil intervensi kelompok I dan II. Hasil: Hasil uji menggunakan Paired
\nsamples t-test pada kelompok I p=0,000 (p<0,05) dan pada kelompok II p=0,000
\n(p<0,05) menunjukkan bahwa kedua perlakuan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan
\naktivitas fungsional pada penderita osteoarthritis knee, Sedangkan perbedaan
\npengaruh menggunakan Indepndent samples t-test p=0,011 (p<0,05) menunjukkan
\nbahwa kedua perlakuan memiliki perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap
\npeningkatan aktivitas fungsional pada penderita osteoarhritis knee. Kesimpulan:
\nAda perbedaan pengaruh latihan isometric otot quadriceps dan latihan closed kinetic
\nchain terhadap peningkatan aktivitas fungsional pada penderita osteoarthritis knee.
\nSaran: Peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan penelitian lebih spesifik dan dapat
\nmengontrol aktivitas subjek penelitian yang berbeda-beda diluar waktu perlakuan
\nyang dapat mempengaruhi hasil penelitian.
