Nous étudions la prévision du besoin énergétique québécois pour les 24 prochaines heures à l’aide d’un ensemble de données s’étalant sur une durée de 8 ans de valeurs historiques de consommation électrique au Québec. Il s’agit d’un problème de prévision de la charge à court-terme, un sous-domaine de la prévision des séries temporelles. Notre modélisation repose sur une méthode appelée « modèle à équations multiples sur séries temporelles » pour la prévision de la consommation électrique à court terme, en nous inspirant de l’approche proposée par Clements, Hurn et Li (2016) appliquée à la région du Queensland, en Australie. Après avoir adapté le modèle aux conditions québécoises, nous l’étendons en prenant en compte deux variables météorologiques additionnelles, la nébulosité et la vitesse du vent, en plus de considérer les observations de différentes stations météorologiques dispersées sur le territoire québécois. Le modèle proposé présente un score MAPE de 1,32 % sur l’ensemble de validation, avec le potentiel de réduire davantage sa marge d’erreur après l’exploration de pistes d’améliorations accessibles. Les performances de notre modèle sont comparées à celles des modèles à équations multiples de Clements, Hurn et Li (2016) et de Cancelo, Espasa et Grafe (2008) ; ainsi que sur celles du modèle N-BEATS de Marchand et Zinflou (2021).
