Cilj rada je bio da se ispita uticaj pola i uzrasta na kognitivne sposobnosti učenika sa \nintelektualnom ometenošću. Istraživanje je realizovano na uzorku od 50 ispitanika, oba \npola (52% ispitanika muškog pola), koji funkcionišu na nivou lake (54%) i umerene \n(46%) intelektualne ometenosti. Ispitanici su učenici radne, prve, druge i treće godine \nsrednjih škola za učenike sa smetnjama u razvoju u Beogradu, koji su za potrebe istraživanja \nrazvrstani u grupu učenika mlađeg i grupu učenika starijeg školskog uzrasta. Za \nprocenu kognitivnih sposobnosti korišćena je Montrealska procena kognicije (Montreal \nCognitive Assessment – MoCA; Nasreddine, 1996). MoCA je test koji se koristi za brzu \nprocenu kognitivnih sposobnosti i obuhvata procenu domena pažnje i koncentracije, \nizvršne funkcije, memorije, jezika, vizuokonstruktivne sposobnosti, konceptualizacije, \nračunanja i orijentacije. Dvofaktorskom analizom varijanse istražen je uticaj pola i nivoa \nintelektualne ometenosti, kao i uticaj uzrasta i nivoa intelektualne ometenosti na \npostignuća na proceni kognitivnih sposobnosti. Rezultati pokazuju da uticaj interakcije \nizmeđu pola i nivoa intelektualne ometenosti učenika nije bio statistički značajan \n(F (1, 46) = 0,524, p = 0,473), dok je istovremeno utvrđen statistički značajan glavni \nuticaj nivoa intelektualne ometenosti (F (1, 46) = 43,391, p = 0,000), ali ne i zaseban \nuticaj pola (F (1, 46) = 0,107, p = 0,745). Takođe, uticaj interakcije između nivoa intelektualne \nometenosti i uzrasta učenika nije bio statistički značajan (F (1, 46) = 1,232, \np = 0,273), ali je utvrđen statistički značajan glavni uticaj uzrasta (F (1, 46) = 14,449, \np = 0,000), kao i statistički značajan glavni uticaj nivoa intelektualne ometenosti \n(F (1, 46) = 50,507, p = 0,000). Na osnovu prikazanih rezultata možemo reći da, kada \nsu u interakciji, pol i intelektualna ometenost, kao i uzrast i intelektualna ometenost ne \npredstavljaju faktore koji zajednički doprinose postignuću na proceni kognitivnih sposobnosti \nučenika, već da se uzrast i intelektualna ometenost izdvajaju kao faktori koji \ndaju pojedinačni i nezavisni doprinos razvoju kognitivnih sposobnosti.
