Abstract
The AgBiotech Bulletin, Volume 1, Issue 1, Jan./Feb. 1993 Published by Ag-West Biotech Inc. Code: NL93006 Size of Files: Text: 28K Graphics: No associated graphics files Contents * Public Concerns in Biotechnology As a fledgling industry, agriculture biotechnology must quickly come to terms with two related public issues: - safety - ownership & control The ramifications of each of these concerns tie directly to the ability of the agbiotech community to earn public confidence..... * Agbiotechnology - A Dynamic Industry It is predicted that agbiotech in North America will grow by forty-five percent per year during the 1990's. This will come through developments such as oilseed varieties which provide new food and industrial uses; herbicide and pest tolerant crops, plants to produce pharmaceutical and other high value products, biologicals to enhance plant and animal growth, animal health products and new food processing techniques. Building For The Future (1) Research Base (2) Research - Industry Link (3) Spirit of Innovation (4) Financing (5) Communications * Partnership for Renewal The Saskatchewan Government has recently developed a "Strategy for the Saskatchewan Economy". The Government believes that ... "Saskatchewan in the Year 2000 will be a province where business, co-operatives, working people, governments and communities have worked together to lead the province toward prosperity and security."...... * Minister Confirms Regulatory Principles In one of his last acts as Minister of Agriculture for Canada, the Honourable Bill McKnight confirmed to Ag-West Biotech the intention of the federal government to regulate the products of biotechnology by building on existing legislation and institutions thus avoiding the costly and time consuming process of creating new laws..... * The Business of Commercialization Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Incentives (SRED Tax Incentives) Over the years, it has been my experience that many individuals and corporations carrying on scientific research and experimental development (SRED) activities are not aware of the tax incentives available to them. The Canadian SRED tax incentive program is one of the most generous in the world. Currently, the program delivers approximately $1 billion per year in investment tax credits. Approximately $250 million are refundable investment tax credits to small corporations..... * Network Notes MicroBio RhizoGen Corporation (MBR) Plant Genetic Systems (PGS) Plant Genetic Systems (PGS) Belgium Philom Bios Hoechst Biostar Saskatchewan Research Council Toronto Biotechnology Institute Plant Biotechnology Institute (PBI) ABC and IBA Merge * People Watchers Ag-West Biotech (AWB) Agriculture Canada Protein Oils and Starch (POS) Hoechst A-STEP VETERINARY INFECTIOUS DISEASES ORGANIZATION (VIDO)

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
